What truly defines Mascot is the people behind it. Dr. Prince and Dr. Sam and our dedicated veterinary staff bring compassion, energy, and clarity to every visit. We believe medicine is only half the work; the other half is trust. And that’s something we work to earn with every family who walks through our doors.
Dr. Prince
Growing up on a farm, caring for animals wasn’t a lesson it was just life. And life on a farm teaches you to be patient, to be present, and to notice the things that don’t make a sound. With over 15 years of experience in small- animal care, Dr. Prince has built his practice the same way quietly, steadily, and always with the family in front of him in mind. After moving to Canada, he brought that same approach to community medicine, where he’s always felt most at home.
Pet parents leave his appointments feeling something specific: that they were listened to. That their questions mattered. That their pet was in good hands.
Dr. Sam
He grew up watching his grandfather a veterinarian care for animals who had no way of asking for help and no way of saying thank you. What his grandfather taught him wasn’t a technique. It was a way of seeing: that the animal in front of you is trusting you completely, and that trust is something you have to be worthy of every single time. Dr. Sam trained internationally before building his experience across small-animal clinics and a 24-hour emergency hospital here in the Lower Mainland.
Pet parents describe him as someone who is calm when you’re not, thorough when you need answers, and never in a rush when it matters most.
